The Board of Directors has recently approved the formation of a new Independent Producer Committee open to anyone within the Producers Guild. This new committee is dedicated to empowering members through educational offerings, developing a rich repository of resources and knowledge-sharing, and facilitating valuable networking opportunities. The goal is to foster and grow a strong community of independent producers within the broader Guild through a mix of moderated discussions and open forums. These spaces will encourage collaboration and meaningful connections, helping indie producers build relationships and thrive within the Guild's network. Please join Committee Chairs Christina Oh (Minari, Nightbitch) and Tommy Oliver (Going to Mars: The Nikki Giovanni Project, Fancy Dance). The conversation will focus on the current landscape of independent production, including strategies for how to build a project – or a company – from the ground up. The session will cover innovative tactics producers are employing to successfully bring independent films to fruition under challenging conditions.

PGA’s Set Etiquette Training provides eligible independent productions with access to free harassment prevention training, and two-hours of free legal consultation related to the training. The trainings are designed with the purpose of establishing a culture on set such that harassment and other abusive conduct are prevented from occurring. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
