INITIATIVES AND PROGRAMS
Among the Foundation’s initiatives and programs:
Promoting Harassment Prevention
The Foundation provides eligible independent productions with access to free harassment prevention training, and two-hours of free legal consultation related to the training through its Set Etiquette Training program. The trainings are designed with the purpose of establishing a culture on set such that harassment and other abusive conduct are prevented from occurring. Eligible productions must be U.S.-based and have 20 or more cast and crew. For eligibility criteria, the application and free resources such as a sample code of conduct: https://producersguild.org/set-etiquette-training/
The Foundation also hosts Harassment Prevention Workshops led by experienced employment attorneys to help individuals identify ways to foster a respectful and inclusive environment on set. These take place in major production centers (LA, NY, ATL) and are free of charge to all members of guilds, unions, film schools and emerging filmmakers.
Building a More Inclusive Field of Producers
PGA Create is the flagship program developed through Producers Guild of America, Inc.’s One Guild Task Force, which seeks to support inclusive membership, employment, content, and authentic depictions. PGA Create is a lab for emerging and mid-career creative producers from underrepresented backgrounds who are in active development, financing or packaging of a feature or series. There are two program cycles: Scripted and Documentary.
Numerous members of the One Guild Task Force have played key roles in the launch, development and sustainability of the program by serving on the program’s finalist selection committee to determine each cycle’s cohort of 10 producers/teams, serving as mentors for Fellows, leading master classes and attending in-person networking events. The program is exclusively for producers who are not current members of the Producers Guild.

Moving the Industry Toward Greater Sustainability
For the past 16 years, the Foundation has been at the forefront of industry efforts to lighten the carbon footprint of production. This has included a robust history of working with the studios and streamers in creating the Green Production Guide to now working on new tools such as the Sustainability Toolkit for creative producers and those in physical production.
