PGA Announces 2025 PGA Create Fellows for 5th Year of Program

Producers Guild selects 13 emerging producers for professional development fellowship supporting underrepresented voices in film and television.

LOS ANGELES — The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced today the 13 producers of eight projects invited to join the PGA Create lab for emerging and mid-career creative producers. Now in its fifth year, the program focuses on supporting and uplifting producers from underrepresented backgrounds.

PGA Create is a professional development lab for creative producers in active development, financing, or packaging of a feature or series. It was developed through the Producers Guild’s One Guild initiative, which supports inclusive membership, employment, content, and authentic depictions.

“As PGA Create enters its fifth year, we are delighted that the program has expanded to support underrepresented producers seeking opportunities in newer formats, such as vertical series,” said One Guild Task Force Chairs Javier Chapa and Shelby Stone. “We are proud that the Guild remains steadfast in its commitment to championing an inclusive producing future.”

Rooted in the practical realities, challenges, and opportunities facing producers today, PGA Create offers fellows the opportunity to hone their pitches, attend master classes led by experienced producers, and expand their network of fellow producers. Following the lab, each project is paired with a producing mentor.

The 2025 Final Selection Panel included Javier Chapa, founder, Mucho Mas Media; Lori McCreary, executive producer, The Gray House, Madam Secretary, and producer, Invictus; Loretta Ramos, independent producer and senior director, Screamwriting Fellowship; and Shelby Stone, executive producer, The Chi and Bessie.

The PGA Create’s fall Scripted cycle will take place Monday, November 10 through Thursday, November 13.
