Dear PGA Member:

We hope that you are enjoying the final days of summer.

We want to take a moment to reach out to every member personally to answer recent questions we’ve received about health benefits.

In 1985, after the PGA was prohibited from becoming a labor union under the NLRA, Guild leadership negotiated with the AMPTP to secure MPI health and pension benefits for bona fide producers on qualifying productions. As we’ve shared previously, Stephanie raised her family on this MPI insurance.

In an effort to make it easier to understand how the insurance works, PGA’s staff has put together an FAQ on MPI insurance. If you still have questions about your particular situation, please reach out to the staff at members@producersguild.org and they will help walk you through your options.

Finally, if you own or are part of the management of a production company, we hope you’ll join other leading production companies in signing onto PGA’s Healthcare Initiative.
